I would like to compile a list of common misconceptions about Islam, that can be easily corrected using The Quran.

If you know of examples or articles discussing this, please state them here so I can review them.

death for apostasy

women must fully cover up

stoning to death sanctioned

must be "Muslim" or you will go to "hell"

no freedom of religion

- singing forbidden
- listening to songs forbidden
- images and statues forbidden
- having beard is "islamic"
- Male circumcision
- Female circumcision
- Women and men can't shake hands
- Treatment of pigs disliked

- Men and women can't be alone (e.g. a male cab driver can't have a female passenger)

I guess I should have clarified: I mainly meant misconceptions about Islam amongst non-Muslims.
