Totaly agreed on Layth... search for God and He WILL lead us... but please remember, we can still be swayed by satan even if we are at the straight path.

 welcome

Just because some people see the difference between God's systems and rumors and hearsay, and true peace and unity versus political agendas and man made conjecture doesn't mean everyone else can! It takes years for people to open their eyes and realise that all prophets preached the same thing and that religion is only one, Submission.

At the end of the day, there is only one God to worship, with no human names or angels to be mentioned beside him, and we are all hybrids here and all believe in mixtures of different things. Some stop at a consensus. Others keep searching and searching and searching and seeking more knowledge. At least we are open-minded about things and admit what we believe and dont believe in. We have the right to take things, and reject others. Unlike Sectarians who have a set system of things that they must follow whether they truly believe in it from their hearts or not.

Peace Bob Cheesy

I feel I've been around, on this site now, long enough to wish you a hearty welcome. It especially gladdens my heart when a Jew sees the light, as I view Jews as our special brothers among the people of the book. True they have fought and are fighting Muslims, but they have also been our indispensable allies, especially in Al Andalus which could not have been taken with such minimal amount of bloodshed but for the Jews fighting alongside the Muslims and opening the gates to major cities.

I hope your experience here will be a plasant one. welcome

Thank you brothers and sisters for your sincere welcomes and replies. Today is 3 weeks that I accepted Submission fully into my heart. I thank God I have been guided. It is a peaceful and wonderful feeling. Feel free to contact me. I appreciate those who have already and the new friends I am making.

Peace

Are these the 2 verses you believe are false?  Please explain why?  I am not Muslim but of all the ones to believe are false, I just don't understand.

[9:128]
There hath come unto you a messenger, (one) of yourselves, unto whom aught that ye are overburdened is grievous, full of concern for you, for the believers full of pity, merciful.

[9:129]
Now, if they turn away (O Muhammad) say: Allah sufficeth me. There is no God save Him. In Him have I put my trust, and He is Lord of the Tremendous Throne.

Peace everyone,

I also don't get the false verse claim. I'd really like to know more about it. Anyone direct me to where i can find out? There doesn't seem anything sus with those verses at all. Claiming that the quran contains false verses doesn't this contradict ALLAH when he says that the quran is divinely protected?

Yeah and welcome Bob... welcome  Really enjoyed ur testimony.

If you remove those 2 verses, a lot of '19' somehow fits.

does it mean then that if you don't remove these verses, 19 theory does NOT work out?  And what about God's promise that no falsehood will never enter the Quran?

I believe the Quran is whole - protected by God and I believe all of it Cheesy

Peace Bahman,

What about music? I don't mind some music. I mainly only listen to music when I exercise, I don't think its haram. Though music with foul course language or even with sexual reference in my opinion wouldn’t be halal.

Isn't anasheed a form of singing, don't they use the daff instrument? Isn't that music? I think when one uses music to distract themself and let's it control their emotions and the way they act that's when it goes extreme.

I follow things I have learnt from my parents and things I have learnt through experience. My parent's aren't against music so if that’s what you’re trying to allude to… I have my own views of life but I can’t openly express it all to them. I could, though it would cause trouble so I hold back. I’m not sure how this relates to the verse you have posted.

Salam.

Sarah ~

salam. i like music, too. i see no reason from the Quran why it should be haram. so long as the theme is not hateful, obscene, such things, i'm ok with it.

i like the Avett Brothers, Bruce Springsteen, and nasheeds, too. i also come from a musical family- music is a gift from God, and we should use music in the right way.

I think here is some misunderstanding resulted such response.
When you wrote :

“Wow, how awesome  ”

I was not sure is that a encouraging or is mocking.  Because in this forum there many mockers that when they do not have enough reasonable response then they mock. Wink

If that is encouraging then please accept my apology, thank you sister and God Bless you.

But in case of mocking then I had to do a little search of your other post you have responded I found this :

http://free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=16251.msg166155#msg166155

Defending prophet and trying to fix fabricated fair tale stories as history and traditions written ( Hadith) 200 years after prophet  by people like Boukharaie far away from prophet place and none Arabic then I got such vision that you are  Sunni or Shia which are not allowed to listen to music or have picture at their home.

My response to people that blindly referring to Hadith to reject Quran is that:
Now we have Clear proof that Quran is authore by God Alone and is the ONLY source to be a Muslim ( submitter) 3:19 .
What Mohammed did in his private life right or wrong could be buried with him. He was enough honest and trustworthy that God reveal his complete, detailed scripture which confirms all previous scriptures.
The messages are designed for different time and location up to end of this world. Some belongs to past, some matches our era time and some are for future.

I listen to music too and like those that words have good meaning and rhythm is relaxing.  The music in background of clip is copied from this clip.

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz59BwDie08

Music is like drug can be used to give relaxation to sicks as medication or can cause hyper ness and even violence same a knife in hand of a surgeon or in hand of a criminal.

Radical Mohammedans are against music and I am not sure what is your standing .
I thought my be you are one of those people that before examine what is offered they reject it and may music cause they do not watch the clip carefully.
That page takes you verses that are linked to file why Hadith is not right.
I apologize again if I have been wrong about you and ask for forgiveness from God Alone.
But finally may this could be  an start knowing each other better.
Peace.
