Some Questions to Ask the Quran Only People
How do you know how to pray using the Quran alone?
How do you know how much Zakaah to pay using the Quran alone?
Hadn't the Quran been reached to us from the same sources we received our authentic hadith?
Why would Allah preserve the Quran and not preserve the meaning?
How much is the Jizyah that the People of the Book have to pay?
Does the Quran say that cross dressing is haram?
The Quran says that men could beat up their wives. But we know according to hadith that this is a spiritual beating and not a harmful physical. What is to stop a man from misinterpreting the Quran and beating the hell out of his wife?
Is it permissible for a man to look at a naked man?
Can I pray Salaah naked?
How do we know the order of the alcohol revelations? Maybe the first of the Quranic revelations said it was haram and then the later ones came saying that is was okay except during prayer times. How do you know the order of its revelations by using the Quran alone?
It says in the Quran to shorten the prayer when you travel. How long do you have to travel? How short to cut the prayer?
In Surah 66:3, the Prophet told his wives that he knew because Allah had informed him about it. Show me a Quranic verse where Allah had informed the Prophet about it. You cannot. Does this not prove that there are revelations to Prophet Muhammad besides the Quran?
Surah 2:173 shows that Allah (swt) gave an order for the Muslims to change their Qibla from (Bayt Al Maqdis in Jerusalem) to the Kabah in Mecca. However, there is no Quranic verse that shows the first order that Allah gave to make the Qibla towards Jerusalem. Does this not prove that there are revelations to Prophet Muhammad besides the Quran?
The Quran is passed on to us by Mutawattir narrations. Mutawattir narrations are narrations by so many people that it is just impossible for all of them to get together and plot and lie. However, we have so many Mutawattir hadith List of Mutawatir hadith http://hadith.al-islam.com/bayan/Index.asp?Lang=ENG&Type=3 that teach things that are not in the Quran. How can you reject their authenticity with no objective evidence?

Sunni's always argue that the prophet got extra-quranic revelations. However they never say why that is so important. The only thing god wanted to send us, was the quran, and we got it.(i think)
So, what relevance has extra-quranic revelations if god deemed the quran enough?

As I see it, I see two scenarios in dealing with the quran.
1) You let the quran do the talking and the teaching
2) You are the one who teach the quran what to say based on your wants and desires
Well, most Sunnis will just not pick option 1) and hence, the combat kit thingy :D
They teach the quran what to say to the "commoners". Unless they believe that in 5:3 it was The God that said the deen is already perfect, I think more updated versions of combat kit will be soon available at your nearest Sunni shops ;D
The mentality is pretty simple too. Their scripture is the so-called authentic hadiths by Bukhari, Muslim, Nasa'i, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, etc. It is very much like Christians who accept the Old Testament but do not follow it. Sunnis accept the quran but do not follow it. :D

Does it really matter?? Have you ever seen two singers / actors perform the same thing completely the same? No. People are different and therefore have different ways of expressing themselves. You want us to believe that physicall Breakdance/Kung Fu movements muslims make while praying are more important than honesty of the action itself??
As long as you remember God and pray only to God, you should be OK.

Zakaah was given to Abraham. Are you telling us that Moses, Jesus, David, Solomon... had no idea how mach Zakaah to pay, becouse they didnt have the Bukhary hadiths???

NO. Quran came through Muhamad, hadith through Persians- 200 years later.

Quran says "Respect your parents". Do you really need an Imam to tell you the meaning of that???
Quran has clear verses and some others that are not very clear. If we would sit down and study it, surely we would understand most of them, but unfortunately we are too busy reading the hadith.

First of all, its not the alcool that is haram but the bad things you do when you are drunk. Quran clearly says that you should stay away from intoxicants if you want to succeed. That is if you want to succeed in this life, with your job, your family...
We often read in the news how men accidentally kill their wifes standing in front of TV during a football game. We dont go and make the football HARAM do we?
Or men forget do go to pray while playing with their children. But we dont make the children HARAM do we??

Year 1400: travel Mekka- Damascus - 1 month - shorten your prayers
Year 2006: travel Mekka - Damascus - 2 hours - no need to shorten anything
Thats why God didnt mention any timing becouse God knew changes would come.

NO. This proves that something is wrong with your hadiths and with Mekka.
Abraham set the foundations of sanctuary in BEKKA. Bekka is NOT an old name for Mekka.
Can you please consult with your hadith and Imams why there is NO EVIDENCE of Moses, Jesus, David, Solomon... ever performed hajj in MEKKA even tough it was compulsory in a way since the time of Abraham???
