The UI in this upcoming Total War game looks a bit different from the previous ones :): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQX6qBiCu9E

I think Cyberpunk 2077 is going to become an awesome game released in the upcoming years, 8) developed by the same devs that made the Witcher, it's going to be a lot bigger than the Witcher in terms of gameplay too :):

Yeah Insurgency: Sandstorm looks great! :) Think they got inspired a lot by Battlefield and Call of Duty with that game.. Reminds me a bit of Star Wars Battlefront with the FPS-style.

I think Cyberpunk 2077 will be a great game (one of the best infact) mainly because it is going to be a lot bigger than the Witcher 3 (my guess is it's going to be around 60-80 GB once its releases) with around 300 developers that are working on the game and the development of the game has gone on now for years. I know the Witcher 3 takes forever to complete since there's so much to explore and everything is worth the time. Red Cd Projekt are great at what they do too, infact the Witcher 3 was given universal acclaim by metacritic and they never disappoint their fanbase either which makes it very likely that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a great game.

Call of Duty i knew in the past is buried by the right & left wing. And i am afraid that Battlefield is next in line. Alhamdullilah Insurgency: Sandstorm is affected and it's badass. I even pre-ordered it! I can't wait for it. In September this year it will come out.

I think video games are for dead people.

I used to play them a lot, but since I now want to LIVE, I try to avoid them. I can still feel the temptation every now and then.

Living is kinda hard. Dying is pretty easy. You can easily obliterate your existence and play some really good immersive RPG. (I loved SKYRIM btw)

Do you mean that video games can become quite time consuming? If so I disagree but then I think it depends on who is playing the video game and what video game it is I guess. For me I've found video games to be mostly boring now unless it's developed by a large company like Bioware or Red Cd Projekt and even then when I finish them they don't really become as fun anymore. I don't think you should worry so much :) For me RPGs like these are awesome but never enough to be time consuming especially not during the summer:

I love the bloom effect they've added to the game and a couple of other graphics tweaking.

I know that video games like Rust can be somewhat time consuming and it's usually because people can ruin for you in the game even while you're offline so you need to make sure that all of the time you've spent doesn't go to waiste by remaining active.

I agree Skyrim was fun, it used to be my favorite RPG when it first came out besides the Mass Effect series but it's hard to get back to the game today :) There was one thing I liked about Skyrim a lot too besides the fact that it was an open world, it was the thousands of Mods that existed on the game and how moddable the game was. Best part was when Bethedsa released the housing DLC which was fun and the creation kit. Let's see how the new Elder Scrolls game will turn out to be, I'm pretty sure it's going to be much better and with better graphics too since I'd assume the game engine they use has probaly improved since Skyrim and the Elder Scrolls Online.

That reminded me

Video games consume time and energy. But it's not all about that. They rely on tricking the brain of an alternative reality which is designed to provide the consumer all sort of great feelings.

In other word, it relies on an illusion and it consumes both time and energy. This can be viewed by many as perfectly fine, while others (few?) will find it absurd. It depends on one's own standards.

While we humans have difficulties not indulging in whatever interests us in our REAL life, I find it hard for us to make progress in our real life while still being hooked to these trivial dummy activities such as gaming. It's more of an escape.

Another thing is the idea of our time, is it given and granted ? Even in our real life we have troubles not wasting time and getting hooked to this and that unwillingly. But playing video games is like a walk to "waste-your-time park" with no other outcome.

I understand I may be crashing the party, but nonetheless this is worth saying.
