I have another question and that is can someone be a muslim and not know it? What do you think?
I came to this conclusion becouse I came to know some groups of people that lead peaceful lives and even greet each other with "peace" and they have nothing to do with Islam...this is somewhat confusing to me because I wonder if you can be a muslim without knowing the Book what do we gain with it especially for new Q-alone it can be frustrating and confusing...

You're confused due to your 'sectarian environment' where you were and are being brought up.

Yes anyone can be a muslim without knowing 'the book' or 'any book'.
Ability to read is not a prerequisite to be a muslim.

One can be a "Muslim" and do many bad things and still be "Muslim", however they cannot be "muslim".
The former is a title/proper noun, the latter is a descriptive word.

And one can be a 'muslim' even when he/she is not a "Muslim".

I have the understanding that a Muslim can never be a terrorist, and a terrorist can never be a Muslim.
If a terrorist decides to be a Muslim, he or she is no longer a terrorist because you cannot murder someone with evil intent while still remaining in submission to God.
If a terrorist is not killing anyone, I am not sure if they can still be in submission to God because obviously being a terrorist would mean they had the intention to cause harm or corruption or oppression or other evil intentions...

The evil ones has the following characteristics:
- Arrogant / Proud
- Selfish / Lack of empathy towards other than his/herself
- Hatred / envy

Regardless of what names / social identity that they proclaim..

White the 'good ones' has the opposite:
- Humble
- Selflessness / Abundance amount of empathy
- Love and compassion

As one of the famous muslim saith it well:
"By their fruit you will recognize them, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit."

Many people here came from Sunnis background.

Within Sunniism they believe that 'it's the rituals that's most important' and 'one need to perform the technicality details of the rituals in correct manner to get something from the God' otherwise 'the rituals will not be accepted by the God and the performer will not get anything'.

The believe is a passed down legacy from Paganism, within paganism, especially western hemisphere paganism (middle east/central asia included) they believe that they can influence and/or control the action of the Gods through certain invocation (mantra) and rituals. Only by saying the 'correct mantra' and performing the rituals the Gods will fulfill their wishes.

And every God has their own specific ritual, thus only by performing the ritual (specific for that God) correctly, the God will know that it's addressed to him or her and not to the other God.

'plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose'
the more it change the more it stays the same

And certainly, the Qur'an is a very "Jewish" (book), too. 

Definitely, which tells us that the main / targeted audience of the book is actually Jewish people. (and not chinese, japanese, aztecs, celts, greeks etc.. which shall have no idea who the heck is Moses, the most often mentioned person in the Quran )

And as for 'Chosen' people.  Don't take that too seriously.  "Chosen", means the first to receive Gods laws in written form.  Someone had to be chosen to be first.  Jews were the ones who won that lottery. 

Of course I don't take that serious at all, as it's a joke after all.
Nearly everyone thinks that their group is 'superior' / 'special' / 'choosen' compared to the other group, a kind of 'tribalistic' ego.

For those who think that you are the 'God's choosen' (and others are not).. the Quran laid the challenge very clear:
"WHY NOT YOU WISH DEATH??"

And that's actually among the lesson to be learned with the Quran and Muhammad case..

A book in Arabic written by Arabic messenger (mainly) addressed to the Jews.
Where the common view of the Jews towards 'those who roam in the desert' (i.e Arabs) during that times were:
- They're pagan / idol worshiper
- They're ignorant

In today's context, it's the same as: Sending an Indian or Filipino messenger to the Saudis.. or Sending an aboriginal messenger to the White Australian..

It's a lesson learned for those who think that 'other people' are 'lesser' than they are..

who is this Ruhul Qudus in the Quran?
according to Judaism and Christianity, Holy spirit is God's spirit (not the God itself), and according to sunnism Ruhul Qudus is an Angel gabriel. but how the Quran explain about Ruhul Qudus?

any interpretation? although i know the best answer is "Wallahualam" since He gave us only a little about Ghaib things

i just figured out, whenever we come out to sunnis, they'll ask the same exact Questions such as "how to pray, history of quran, how do u know quran is from God without hadith bla bla bla"

Don't play at their own game, reiterate the logic as below..

1. What's is Muslim?
A Muslim are those who recites the shahada.
Those who haven't recites the shahada cannot be considered as a Muslim.

2. What is the shahada?
La Illaha Illa Allah Muhammad Rasullullah
(No god but Allah, Muhammad is God's prophet)

3. Is Muhammad a Muslim?
Yes Muhammad is a Muslim

4. How does Muhammad's shahada sounds like?
La Illaha Illa Allah, Ana Rasullulah
(No god but Allah, I am the God's prophet)

<< Their brain start to detect something absurd now... but let's continue..>>

5. Is Abraham a Muslim?
Yes Abraham is a Muslim

6. How does Abraham's shahada sounds like?
La Illaha Illa Allah, Muhammad Rasullullah

7. So Abraham testify about Muhammad although he's not being born yet?

The above logic is also valid to disprove Christianism and their fetish for Jesus..

The above 'exercise' is to ignite their critical thinking process regarding their own belief / ideas.

Declaring that "I'm a muslim" is the same as declaring "I'm an honest person".
A self-declaration by itself shows nothing, as it need to be backed up by act and deeds.

A person might declare that he's honest but once faced with the perils of 'death', 'imprisonment' or 'poverty' when he told the truth / being honest, he might refrained from honesty and came up with a lie to save his skin.

The more appropriate option will be:
"Are you a Muslim"?
or
"Are you a person who are trying/striving to be muslim".

Or you can also translate the word to english:
"Are you a person who are trying/striving to peacefully submit yourself to God's will".

My reply to your message seems to have met with some error and hence this post.

To your query what do I think about what happened:

What happened in this forum: Is just political clouting started by Shirley, shared by the like and even minded adversaries. We only tried to bring some sense to the topic through Quran but they could not heed. Allah says if we argue or sit with them who are forgetful or careless of Allah's verses, we too would become like them 4:140; 6:20. And you never argued with them except saying your points and so, no blame on you. Henceforth we rehearse in our entire life, the sense of the ayats just mentioned.

What happened in Bahrain: It is nothing more than what happens justly as Sunna of Allah against those rejecters of Quran. And you will not find any change in the Sunna (33:62, 61, 60). As long as they associate Hadith with Quran they are mischief mongers who always mix up good and bad; and right and wrong. They are a drowned people in their own contumacy, never to surface again for a fresh lease of life unless they attend to the verses of Quran and rehearse it in their lives, with patience while they suffer. Allah says He has not sent down this Quran to make you suffer (20:2). The Bahraini upheaval is an example of those who belie this particular verse of Quran. Almost all Muslims and all Muslim countries fall into this category and the prophets would be witnesses to this who would say: O my God, my people had totally rejected Quran!

What happened in this forum: Is just a 'revelation' of what's truly happening on the ground. Beyond the cloud of political interest and media distortion.

Face the fact, Sectarianism, tribalism and racism is tearing Middle East apart and it has happened since many centuries ago up until today.

In the end, numbers will win, politically, it just a matter of time.
Thus the future will be:

- The Palestinians will prevail over the Jews in Israel
- The Shiites will prevail over the Sunnis in Bahrain
- Wahhabism + Salafism in KSA and Zionism in Israel will become extinct.

It just a matter of 'when it happened' and 'how it happened'.

The true test will be when the oppressed finally get the upper hand.
- Will they 'seek revenge' ? (FAILED THE TEST)
- Or will they forgive their past 'oppressor' / 'enemy', dissolve sectarianism, racism, tribalism as a whole and move forward (PASS THE TEST),

The blacks in South Africa PASS THE TEST with at least B+ grade.

Al Saud dynasty has nothing to fear the shias. There are 3.5 million Shias living in Saudi Arabia. They have more rights than Sunnis have in Iran. They also have representatives in Mecca.

In Iran there are many Jews, Christians (Catholics, Orthodox, Mandaeans / Follower of John The Baptist), Sunnis, Zoroastrians etc..
